Everything a concept needs to survive review

Schematic design is where decisions get made and where they get questioned. LandX answers with numbers you can defend, computed from the same drawing you are looking at.

Sun and shadow that are actually correct

Shadows come from the NOAA solar-position algorithm using your site's latitude, longitude and timezone. Scrub the day and the year and watch the shade move where it really moves — then read how much of your path network sits under canopy.

Earthworks integrated exactly

Cut and fill are computed over the overlay of the existing and proposed surfaces in closed form — no grid sampling, no error band. The same kernel is checked against hand-calculated volumes on every build.

Live take-off

Areas, permeability and canopy update as you draw. Canopy is reported separately because it overlaps surfaces rather than tiling with them.

Planting and water

A real schedule with per-species irrigation demand, and growth stages that change canopy and shade in the drawing immediately.

Exports that open elsewhere

GeoJSON with the CRS recorded, and a CSV schedule a quantity surveyor can read. Generated locally and downloaded straight to your machine.

Local-first, and honest about it

Your projects are stored in your browser and never sent anywhere — there is no LandX server holding your work. That is a real privacy guarantee, and it comes with a real caveat we show you rather than hide: browser storage can be cleared, so LandX asks for persistent storage, tells you whether the browser granted it, and keeps export one click away.

Set the site

Start from an empty boundary or the advanced climate courtyard. Location and CRS are recorded from the start, because scale and coordinates matter later.

Draw and plant

Outline planting, lawn, paving and water. Drop trees from the catalog — each carries canopy, height and water demand.

Run the analyses

Coverage, sun and shade, earthworks and irrigation, all computed from the drawing in front of you.

Export the evidence

Take the schedule and geometry out as CSV and GeoJSON, generated locally.

The numbers behind the promises

These come from prototypes run on a deliberately modest machine — Intel integrated graphics — so they are a floor, not a best case.
