Privacy Policy

X+1 Studio (“we”) operates this portfolio and research website and develops the Y+ Studio and GEOX browser applications. This policy explains what these services handle and where information goes. The applications are designed to be local-first: by default your work stays on your own device, and supported cloud features are opt-in.

1. Data you create

Y+ Studio projects, including moodboards and massing studies, and GEOX projects, including geometry, layers, styles, and analysis settings, are saved in your browser using IndexedDB and localStorage. This project data does not leave your device unless you deliberately use an export, sharing, sign-in, or supported cloud feature.

2. Cloud sync — your own Google Drive (optional)

X+1 tools do not use a central project database. If a supported tool offers and you choose “Connect Google Drive”, your projects are saved as files in your own Google Drive, under your control:

• We use the drive.file scope — the app can access only the files it creates, never your other Drive files.
• We use a private drive.appdata folder (hidden from your Drive UI) to remember your settings and your Pro license. It is tied to your Google account, not to us.
• We request your email address only to label the connection inside the app. Sign-in is handled by Google; we never see or store your Google password.
• We, the operators, cannot browse your projects — they live on your device or in your Drive.

3. Advertising

Selected public content pages may show ads served by Google AdSense. The X+1 Studio homepage and the primary interactive editing surfaces are intended to remain ad-free. Where advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can review and control ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com, and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Upgrading to Pro removes ads.

4. Third-party services

To function, the website and tools may load resources and data from map and search services (OpenStreetMap, CARTO, Esri, Nominatim, Overpass), code libraries delivered through content networks, Google services (AdSense, Identity Services, Drive, and configured analytics), and payment providers. These providers may receive your IP address and standard request information when serving their content, under their own privacy policies. Where legally required, advertising consent is requested through a Google-certified consent management platform.

5. What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not access your Google Drive files beyond those Y+ Studio creates.
• We do not store your payment card details — purchases are handled by the payment provider.

6. Your choices

• Use supported tools locally without signing in.
• Delete a project in the app to remove it from your browser and any connected cloud store.
• Disconnect Google Drive at any time from the account menu.
• Clear your browser storage to remove all local data.

7. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves; the “last updated” date will change accordingly.
