Privacy Policy

GEOX is operated by Ahmed Fouad Eid Ismail ("we"). This policy explains what data GEOX collects, why, and how you can control it. We've kept it short on purpose.

What we store

Free tier: All your projects stay in your browser (IndexedDB). We don't see them.
GEOX Pro: Projects are stored in a private app folder in your own Google Drive (the hidden "app data" space that only GEOX can read). We run no database — your project data never touches a GEOX server. You can revoke GEOX's Drive access at any time from your Google account (Settings → Security → Third-party access).
Sign-in: "Sign in with Google" gives GEOX your email, name, and profile picture, held only in your browser's local storage to show who's signed in. We request the drive.appdata scope solely for project sync.
Billing: Pro subscriptions are sold by Gumroad, who processes your payment details. GEOX stores only your license key and its verification status, in your browser.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data.
We do not show third-party ads or ad-tech trackers.
We do not train machine-learning models on your project contents.

Third-party services

Google — sign-in (Google Identity) and project storage in your own Drive.
Gumroad — selling and billing the Pro subscription; license keys are verified against Gumroad's API.
OpenStreetMap, Nominatim, Overpass, Stadia/Carto basemap tiles — requested directly from your browser when you use those features. GEOX does not proxy those calls.
OpenRouteService — only called if you've pasted your own ORS API key; the key stays in your browser's localStorage.

Your rights

You can export every project as a .geoxjson bundle from the dashboard at any time. "Disconnect & erase" on the dashboard deletes GEOX's app folder from your Drive, wipes the local cache, and signs you out — since we hold no server-side data, that's a complete erasure.
